So she propably recorded this mesaage just after she sent 9s away and got infected. And because of all this pain death wasnt such a bad option plus as i said she had chance to save 9s. I'd say it was more that she sacrificed herself for 9s (by sending him away) because she's been killing him for so long and she had chance to actually save him. She propably didnt want to die but as she once said "the day im freed from this pain is the day i die".
